(1) After receiving approval for foreign investment in accordance with section 15, the foreign investor shall provide written information to Nepal Rastra Bank with a self-declaration that the amount of such investment is earned from his legitimate sources. After giving such information, the foreign investor will be able to bring the amount of such investment into Nepal.
(2) The amount to be invested by the foreign investor should be converted into convertible foreign currency through the banking system after completing the procedure determined by Nepal Rastra Bank. But Indian investors can also invest such investment amount in Indian currency through banking system.
(3) Notwithstanding anything written in sub-section (3), the lease investment under section 6 and the loan investment issued on collateral under section 11 shall be as prescribed.
